After 2 weeks in London, I’ve  had the pleasure of being surrounded by people from all different countries; South Africa, Romania, Lithuania, Ireland, and so on. Because residents of the European Union can work freely between countries without needing visas, there’s a fantastic mix of languages and cultures all around my company’s UK headquarters. It’s been a pleasure.

I am now sitting in Heathrow, Terminal 5, and I am surrounded by Americans for the first time in 14 days… and they are so boring. They’re talking loudly about personal things that no one wants to listen to, or going on and on over breakfast about their coworkers and dull inside business drama. I’ve very put off.

I don’t want to be like that. It’s important to remember that you aren’t very important in the grand scheme of things, and that unless your stories have a point, or affect those you’re telling them to, no one cares. I want to speak more purposefully.

I am happy to be home.
